COLLETTE HODKINSON
Collette is a lawyer specialising in a range of private client issues. She advises clients in relation to the preparation of wills, the administration of estates, inheritance tax planning, the creation and administration of trusts, powers of attorney and Court of Protection deputyship applications. Collette always carefully explains to her clients the technical terms of the documentation that she prepares, as well as the implications for those concerned. She has a natural instinct for her area of practise, empathy with clients and their families, as well as an ability to help them address often difficult issues.
Collette studied for the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course in Manchester. Prior to this Collette gained her undergraduate degree in Physics. Even before qualification Collette knew that she wanted to specialise in private client work and, immediately following admission completed all the examinations to enable her to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). STEP is the leading professional body for practitioners in the fields of trust and estates.
Collette lives in Wilmslow with her husband and in her spare time enjoys traveling abroad, running, keeping fit and is currently learning to play golf!
